Relief Aid Consulting LLC was established for one main purpose:

To help identify those communities most in need of assistance in post-disaster environments.

Politics, policies, and governments can often cloud decision making and delay, misappropriate, or in some cases prohibit disaster relief aid from reaching certain communities in need.

Relief Aid Consulting provides independent analyses of post-disaster environments, free from politics, policies, and religion. The results of the analyses enable those capable of providing disaster relief aid a means of prioritizing the allocation of resources to communities in need.

Who can benefit from Disaster Relief Aid's work?

Governments, Humanitarian Aid Organizations, and individuals or groups who wish to direct their donations to specific communities in need can all benefit from the post-disaster analyses performed by Relief Aid Consulting.

Relief Aid Consulting utilizes the Evans Disaster Impact Scale (EDIS) for its analyses of post-disaster impact environments. The Evans Disaster Impact Scale is based on an award winning Master’s Thesis entitled Universal Disaster Impact Scale, written by Relief Aid Consulting’s founder, Brian J. Evans. Evans holds a Master of Disaster Science degree from the University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia.

The EDIS provides a scale upon which the impact to communities from a disaster can be measured. It is important to note that the measurement given is relevant to the impact the disaster has on a community. The magnitude of the earthquake or the size of the hurricane is not germane to the evaluation.

Please visit the EDIS page of this website for further information.
